Miranda Kaufmann – Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge

10th November, 2017

Historian Dr. Miranda Kaufmann tells the intriguing tales of three Africans: a diver employed by Henry VIII to recover guns from the wreck of the Mary Rose, a Moroccan woman baptised in Elizabethan London, and a porter who whipped a fellow servant at their master’s Gloucestershire manor house.

Tudor activities and dressing up across the afternoon for all ages. The talk on Black Tudors will start at 2.30pm. A limited number of signed copies is available.
