Syd Moore – Waterstones Colchester
27th April, 2018

We are delighted to have Syd Moore back to the store to talk about the third installment of the Essex Witch Museum trilogy, Strange Fascination. Syd has just enjoyed a successful stint as the writer in residence at the Essex Book Festival & her new novel is due in early May. In the new one everything seems to going right at the Museum till developers move in to the village of Adders Fork & try to move the ancient Blackly Be boulder, said to be the site of a notorious witch’s grave. Pandemonium breaks loose in the village & a severed head is found a top the boulder. The villagers storm the Museum & demand that Rosie & Sam solve the mystery, which involves some hidden treasure that would be an fine motive for murder. Syd Moore’s novels are garnering lots of praise for their entertaining style & the way they have reinvigorated the supernatural thriller & given us a ballsy, no-nonsense female character in the shape of Rosie Strange.
Please purchase your tickets in advance & there will complementary wine & nibbles. The doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
